It was the kind of day you dream of for your wedding. The sun was warm, a soft gentle breeze blew and signs of summer’s-end had begun to show. Our bride Juline woke with the sun. Setting time aside for herself, to set her intention for the day and reflect on her journey that had led her to Adam.
Early afternoon, she walked the grounds of St. Eugene down the long tree lined road towards her husband-to-be. Tapping him on the shoulder he turned and saw his bride for the first time. Spinning her around, they couldn’t stop smiling at eachother.
Juline was the picture of beauty and grace; smiling ear to ear all day. Adam, finally her Husband, watched her in awe. They welcomed guests to to their outdoor cocktail reception and later ventured in to their wedding tent to enjoy an intimate family-style dinner with their guests and family.

The rain was letting up just as Jamie began to put on her dress. The sky opened and the sun shone bright over … Lake, where her family had spent endless summers and countless holidays. This hidden treasure in the East Kootenays of British Columbia set the perfect, intimate backdrop to a significant part of Jamie and Dave’s love story. Their Wedding Day would officially place this beautiful cabin property in Dave’s heart forever. After sealing their forever with a kiss, Dave paddled his bride out on to the lake to share a quiet moment together. It was a beautiful sight as we watched and shared in the celebration with their loved ones on land.
The tented fête to follow was a beautiful reflection of Jamie and Dave, and the life they’ve created together. Guests were greeted with Kombucha cocktails, farm-to-table food, warm candle light and live folk music. Stories upon stories were shared of the two of them before and after they met; reminding us once again the beauty of marriage and two lives coming together to create one.
There was something especially magical about Jenna and Matt’s winter wedding at Emerald Lake Lodge. Perhaps it was the heavy layer of snow that fell the night of their wedding; covering the island in a blanket of stillness and quiet. Or, the crackling fire that warmed guests as they read their own vows, promising each other eternity. If we really had to pinpoint the magic, we think it was the way Matt looked at Jenna the entire day. Like it was just the two of them on the island. Like he was aware of, and thankful for, every moment of his life that lead him to her. Yes, that must have been it. We’ve officially decided that winter boots, blankets and hot chocolate pair perfectly with a wedding gown.
